WOW… this is what vision is?

I had Laser surgery on my eyes on Friday morning. I had a bit of an issue with an over-zealous eye doctor – NOT Dr. Coleman but we resolved everything. It’s a neat office, very UN-New Mexican and very dark. Everyone wears way too nice of clothes to be in ABQ. It feels like they spent more time putting me in place in the reclining chair thing than he did to do the surgery! It feels like he was squishing my eyeball and when they pull back the lens, your vision goes away. It’s not scary as he is talking to you the whole time. There is a strange smell, almost flesh like but there’s a fan that seems to take it away before it registers. Anyway, I get up from the chair and look out to the Sandia Mountains and can see distance! Pretty amazing. Spent the rest of the day sleeping. Went back to a follow up on Saturday morning. I am a convert! Ask me for more details if you want.

Tomorrow is the day! Dr. Coleman at Coleman Vision is giving me “Laser Vision Correction”. I have had glasses since I was in grade school. I don’t know why I have chosen to have it done – other than new glasses seem to be costing between $600 and $700 a whack and i keep having to update my prescription. A good friend referred me to him as he has done her’s and her parents’ eyes. I am a bit frightened but will be happy with the results. Wish me luck!
