Not an overly productive day yesterday but made it through the day. I had to take my car in for it’s quarterly maintenance. My shop has been slammed since February. It just seems that most service people are still busy – business-wise. He may actually have to hire another person! Good for him. Albuquerque Auto on 4th.
Work was dead. Wow.
Last night we went to my Mom & Dad’s for dinner. My brother and his son leave on Monday so we’re trying to fit in a lot of visits since I don’t get to see them so much.
Caught up on some Rescue Me episodes last night. I really do not have any extra time to be watching tv… yet, I do.

It’s another day already.
Lots of strangeness out there. My to-do list is growing daily and I THOUGHT that I would be working on it last night but a certain someone invited me to Mafia Wars on facebook so that they could do something. I have tried to stay away from all those little time-sucking apps. I should have stopped this one as I think I played it for two hours last night. It has no redeeming qualities but from a standpoint of rewarding people for staying online – there you go. It’s pretty funny. Or sad.
I am having some transportation issues with getting my car to the shop and getting the van to the house to pick up some stuff. It’s like the old puzzle of the fox, the chicken, and the feed getting them across a river. Do I ride my bike? Take the bike in the car? Just drive? It’s very funny.
This week is almost over already and I have done very little that I had intended to and this weekend looks to be slam packed full of events. Oh well.

Just a strange week – for no apparent reason. Crazy thing – life. Too much introspection right now is making me anti-productive in all aspects of my life. Kind of sucks.
I’m working through it. Be patient.
Good food yesterday – Thai House for lunch and Mussel/Sausage dish for dinner.

Blah.
On the only good news of the day, I cooked the trout that the kids caught a few days ago. Nothing more.

Nice bike ride yesterday, that was good. No. It was great.
In the afternoon I got to run into town to Scalo. Scalo has been open since 1986! It used to be THE nice restaurant in town and although it has changed hands several times it still stays very busy. In my previous life, I worked for Chuck D for about 8 years. He got out of the concert business and has been day trading and doing realtor stuff. He just moved to a new realtor office and was celebrating the unveiling of a painting of he and his dog that passed away a few years ago, Tripper. It was well attended and it was great to see a bunch of old concert buddies that I had not seen in almost ten years. The funniest part was that nobody apparently remembers me. Chuck was working the room and every time he would come by he would make a comment like “Where’s Hendricks”. I thought he was joking, but after I was already gone, he called and said I pulled one over on him – he didn’t realize it was me! While there, I said ‘hi’ to Mike Kitts and then 20 minutes later he told someone that I wasn’t there. At least he came back over and talked for a little bit. It was very strange. There was a girl taking photos, hopefully I can track her down and see if I REALLY was there.
After that I went over to my Mom & Dad’s for another dinner thing. Although it’s much easier to NOT have to worry about cooking and cleaning up after, I am overdosing on family right now. That’s not saying I don’t like them, I’m just OD’ing on the family events.
Last night I watched another couple episodes of ‘Dead Like Me’ on hulu – I’m glad that my friend told me about that show. It’s pretty funny. Only lasted a couple of seasons back in 2003-04 but is worth my time on hulu. A girl dies and becomes a grim reaper, tasked with removing people’s souls when they die to help get them to their afterlife. It’s much deeper than that, if you get a chance watch the Pilot and you’ll kind of get an idea for it. Without the pilot, you would never understand the rest of the shows. Before I went to bed, I felt something on my foot and instinctively brushed my other foot to remove it and squished something juicy. The top of my foot was all tingly about ten minutes later and it was all red. I looked under the desk to see what I could find and found the crumpled up body of a rather large spider. I’ve seen them before, just a large house spider, kind of translucenty, beige, but big. I normally practice ‘catch & release’ with spiders in the house and I felt a little bad that I had killed this one. The new office is close to the dog room that is left open so we get all sorts of critters this way. Kind of freakin’ me out as I rarely wear socks or shoes inside during except during the cold of winter. May have to rethink that…
Today I have to get through all the book work for last week, and I still have to get through the inventory as that is holding up my end of month and end of quarter books.

I stayed up way to late last night/this morning so I didn’t think there was any chance of my getting up in time to get out for a ride. Wrong. I was awake about 6:30 and tried to sleep longer but it wouldn’t happen.
I hopped on about 8 ish and headed out. I didn’t quite know where I was going to go and ended up… west. I went up to Paseo del Vulcan and instead of turning left like normal, I went north instead. It only went a few blocks before turning into Paseo del Norte and it wasn’t really worth it. Now I know.
Going down Paseo is not bike-friendly and a couple of cars came a little too close to me. I decided to stop by Jill & Donald’s house to see what they were doing. After a brief stop, back home.
A good ride.

Yesterday was a non-day. Can’t say anything more than I worked on some computer stuff and took a two hour nap. I was cranky – for good reason, so I’ll just leave it there.
Hoping today will be better, couldn’t be more difficult to do that.
On a good note, my ever changing weight is back in the range I would like it to stay….

Yesterday I barely got through what I needed to. I almost confronted a situation that’s been digging at me but it would have meant that I would be late for a friend’s surprise birthday party. Jennifer’s birthday is Tuesday but was being celebrated last night. It was fun. I’m glad we went. I got to meet her parents as well as Devon’s dad among everyone else. We picked up the kids on the way home and I was out.
This weekend has a fair amount of work being called for and my investigating a computer issue that’s causing me grief on a daily basis. Hoping for a couple of bike rides as well. We’ll see how I do…

I don’t know why it surprises me any time I get a full nights’ sleep – but it does. I feel rested and ready to tackle this day! The bedroom furniture that Jaeden designed is coming this morning as well so it should be a busy day. I’ll post photos this weekend after we get everything put away.
I didn’t get inventory completed yesterday, something that will surely make the controller cranky as this means she has to wait until Monday to complete her stuff. All the bank statements arrived yesterday so I think she’s all ready to close out the month and quarter.
The bike ride yesterday was great and I wish I could go again today…. too much going on for that. Maybe I’ll squeeze in at least one ride this weekend, mabye two?

A ‘quick’ ride to work and back. The morning was unusually warm for 8:30 am.
The ride back looked ominous with dark skies, lots of wind and rain north and east. Ended up not getting any drips on me and other than the wind, a good ride…
